The Ol' Switcharoo

I went to Macy's last night and bought a pair of boots. They were a bit expensive ($90), well I suppose cheap compared to most boots, but more than I usually spend on a pair of shoes. I asked the guy at the desk if they were on sale and he assured me that they were not. Anyway, I'm still deciding on them, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep them. I tried them on with a skirt and with jeans and my husband even agreed that they looked cool.

So I went to macys.com today so I could show a friend what my boots looked like and I found them. Except they're on sale! Even with shipping and handling they're $65! If it was a small difference I wouldn't care, but it's a $25 difference and I think that's a big deal. So that's easy right? I'd buy my boots online and return the ones I bought yesterday.

Of course it wouldn't be that easy. They don't have my size/color online. Okay, well I'll just order a different size and same color. And then return the ones from the online store to the store. And it's not like I'm wearing the ones I'm returning... so that definitely makes it okay, right? For some reason I feel bad, but I feel as though I shouldn't have to pay the full price if it's on sale... not to mention the fact that it's only been 15 hours since I bought them!!!

Have you ever done the switcharoo?
