Magic Medicine
Sunday was one of the worst days ever.
I was puking all day. From morning until 7 pm. I couldn't eat anything. I'd vomit everything, including WATER. I tried eating simple things like toast and soup. I'd be able to keep it in for 10 minutes if even. Then even when I didn't eat anything I'd vomit. I almost wanted to eat something so I was just puking bile and acid. Horrible. My husband had a flight to catch. He ended up pushing it back to Monday morning. I'm thankful for that.
He even called his father and told him about what was happening. My father-in-law prescribed some medicine.
If I've ever had a magic pill in my life, then that was it. I believe it was called zofran.
I finally was able to eat. For the past two days my throat has been killing me. All that puking did a number on my poor throat. I sound like a smoker every time I speak.
I dont know what happened to me that day. But I looked it up and found an article on Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome (CVS).
There's a part in that article that says "Most people can identify a specific condition or event that triggered an episode. The most common trigger is an infection. Another, often found in children, is emotional stress or excitement, often from a birthday or vacation, for example." I find that amusing since it HAPPENED to be my birthday... but somehow I don't think that was quite the reason. Anyway it's over now.
Thanks to the magic pill.
